The EnergyUnited Foundation recently donated $5,000 to The Life Center of Davidson County to provide assistance for patients to receive care from the organization.
The Life Center of Davidson County provides high quality daytime care to older and impaired adults. Their primary goal is to help improve the quality of life for both the participant and their caregivers by offering support, relief, respite and counseling.
“We are very thankful to receive this support from the EnergyUnited Foundation,” said Elizabeth Rummage, executive director of The Life Center of Davidson County. “This grant will allow The Life Center to provide 10 individuals with 10 days of adult day health services for respite.”
The Life Center seeks to achieve outcomes that improve the physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being their participants. The day program provides socialization, recreation and enjoyment for adults who are often socially isolated in their own homes.
“EnergyUnited is committed to serving and supporting our communities,” said Debra Citta, EnergyUnited Foundation Administrator. “We are proud to support this essential service thanks to The EnergyUnited Foundation and the members who contribute to our Operation Round-Up program.”
The EnergyUnited Foundation is a voluntary, member-funded non-profit organization supported by EnergyUnited’s Operation Round-Up program. Over 70,000 EnergyUnited members choose to participate in the program by ‘rounding up’ their electric bills each month. The maximum monthly contribution for an individual member with one account is 99 cents. Each of these small contributions are pooled together in a single fund managed by the EnergyUnited Foundation to support needy individuals, families, and essential nonprofit organizations that complete an application explaining the reason and purpose for their requested grant.
