ENERGYUNITED CEO HOSTS COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP MEETING

STATESVILLE, N.C. – EnergyUnited CEO Thomas Golden hosted a special meeting with local law enforcement officials on Thursday, March 30 at the cooperative’s headquarters in Statesville. The focus of the meeting was to reinforce EnergyUnited’s commitment to partnering with community stakeholders in conjunction with its efforts to deliver safe, reliable, sustainable and competitively-priced energy to members. As part of these efforts, cooperative leaders highlighted several important electrical safety precautions for first responders and physical grid security considerations that shape incident response and mitigation initiatives.

“As a member-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperative, EnergyUnited understands the importance of developing and strengthening partnerships that deliver value to cooperative members,” Golden said. “These relationships effectively position the cooperative to meet the evolving needs and expectations of consumers.”

Law enforcement officials representing 6 counties within EnergyUnited’s service area attended the meeting, along with representatives from the FBI, the COO of NCEMC and General Manager of Rutherford EMC to reflect on successes and to share feedback regarding opportunities for continued collaboration. Cooperative and law enforcement officials described the meeting as “insightful” and jointly expressed their commitment to strengthening these valuable community partnerships.
