November is a time to reflect on the many things we are thankful for, and I want to highlight a few key areas that are particularly meaningful.
First and foremost, I am proud to share that we recently honored nearly 80 of our member veterans on our website. This initiative celebrates their service and sacrifices, and it is an honor to recognize these remarkable individuals who have given so much to our country. As many of you may read from the Viewpoints article in Carolina Country, I had the privilege of serving in the Navy, and this personal connection deepens my appreciation for the dedication and bravery of our veterans. We encourage you to visit our landing page to view their stories and join us in expressing our gratitude for their service.
With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I want to thank each of you for your unwavering support and commitment to EnergyUnited. Your involvement plays a crucial role in our mission to enhance and innovate our services. It is your engagement that enables us to advance with technology and continue improving our service area. This season of gratitude reminds us of the strong community we are fortunate to be part of, and we remain dedicated to ensuring that our cooperative meets your needs with excellence.
I am also pleased to share the results of our recent Board of Directors election. I would like to congratulate Jill Doss-Raines, who has been elected to serve on our Board for a three-year term. We look forward to her contributions and leadership as we continue to work toward our shared goals. Your participation in this election reflects the strength of our cooperative and our collective commitment to its future.
Lastly, I want to address an important issue that has come to our attention: solar scams. As the interest in solar energy continues to grow, we have seen an increase in fraudulent schemes targeting our members. We want to remind you to be vigilant and to thoroughly research any offers or contracts related to solar energy. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us for guidance. Our goal is to ensure that you have access to reliable information and support as you explore your energy options.
In closing, I want to express my sincere thanks for your ongoing support and trust in EnergyUnited. Your membership truly is what energizes our cooperative. We look forward to continuing our work together and building on the strong foundation we have established.
Wishing you a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Thomas Golden, CEO
