STATESVILLE, N.C. – Brett Alkins, chief operating officer for EnergyUnited, has been appointed to the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s (NRECA) Strategic Technology Advisory Council (STAC).
The STAC serves as an important sounding board as NRECA’s Business and Technology Services (BTS) division works to leverage technology to help co-ops meet evolving needs. The STAC provides guidance and expertise to assist in identifying key challenges for co-ops and in seeking meaningful technology insights that benefit co-ops and their communities.
“STAC plays a vital role in shaping the future of our industry, charting the course for technological advancements that will ultimately benefit cooperative members nationwide,” said Thomas Golden, chief executive officer of EnergyUnited. “I am proud to announce Brett’s appointment to STAC and believe strongly that his leadership, innovative mindset and deep understanding of our cooperative uniquely position him to make significant contributions as a member of the council.”
The Strategic Technology Advisory Council (STAC) is composed of up to 30 voting members and consists of senior leadership from electric cooperatives around the country, providing critical strategic guidance and recommendations regarding BTS’ research efforts.
