Junior Member Ambassador Program

Students must reside in a home that is serviced by EnergyUnited OR

Students who attend the following schools are automatically eligible to apply: North Davidson High, Central Davidson, Davie County, Davie County Early College, Hopewell, Ledford, North Iredell, South Davidson and West Iredell High. (EnergyUnited provides electric power to these schools)

JUNIOR MACMEMBER

EnergyUnited’s Member Advisory Committee meets three times each year in Statesville, Lexington and Lake Norman to discuss the latest news from the cooperative and to provide updates on the cooperative’s strategic initiatives. More importantly, MAC members serve as a sounding board for the cooperative and offer crucial feedback that helps shape its programs and service offerings for members. EnergyUnited will accept up to two Junior MAC members who are qualifying high school sophomores or juniors, to serve in each region annually. To be eligible, students must receive service from EnergyUnited at home or attend a school that is serviced by the cooperative.

Junior MAC members will attend three meetings each year and receive a stipend, catered meal and mileage reimbursement for each meeting attended.

YouthTour

EnergyUnited seeks high school applicants for the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. The program, open to sophomores and juniors, will take students on a historic journey to learn about electric cooperatives, American history and the United States government while visiting the historic sites of the nation’s capital. Applications will be accepted through December 15, 2024.

COOPERATIVE LEADERSHIPCAMP

Cooperative Leadership Camp, also known as CLC, is a week-long summer camp for high school students ready to discover how they can make a difference in the world through cooperative business.

Attendees will learn about cooperatives, leadership and team building while connecting with leaders from across the state.
